Directing Anne Meara and Tony Award winning actress Carole Shelley was one of the most amazing opportunities of my life as a screenwriter and director. I could not believe this opportunity. Directing taught me so much about myself as an artist.

Working alongside Tess Steinkolk was the highlight of my creative life. Tess gave me the opportunity to witness her extraordinary talent firsthand, and also to collaborate with some of the world’s most gifted actors, directors, and producers. Through those experiences, I developed a deep understanding of visual storytelling, and how framing, light, and subtlety can elevate a performance.

Makeup is never just about surface beauty. It’s about bringing out the individual beauty of the person in you work with. Faces aren’t sculptures—they hold emotion, history, and purpose. As a makeup artist, my role is to reveal that humanity, not cover it up. I approach my work in a naturalistic way, geared toward the uniqueness of my client. My journey with each client has always been to approach my work from the inside out, always making my client feel listened to, understood and treated with absolute respect. I am a consummate artist who takes tremendous pride in all of my work and prefer referrals who are seeking to bring out the best in their beauty.

I custom blend all of my products to suit each individual I work with. That’s when it becomes fine art. Every person carries a unique purpose in this world, and it’s a privilege to help them express it fully—through color, shape, and presence. I work in a private studio in Paseo Nuevo, Santa Barbara or on location - just about anywhere!
